A Centre for Learning Art & Sanskrit

At Kinnari Kala Kutira, our philosophy of learning art is rooted in the fundamental and technical aspects of drawing and painting.  Once the fundamentals are grasped, the artist's horizon expands, embracing traditional as well as diverse modern methods and techniques. The budding artists are encouraged to allow their imagination to fly freely to bring their beautiful worlds of colours on their favorite media, whether it is oil on canvas or watercolour on handmade paper. There are reference pictures and works of artists to stimulate the learners, and the teacher is present to instill confidence in them whenever needed, resulting in bold strokes and colourful paintings.

Art is a passion which needs a friendly approach, without pressures or compulsion, in order to allow free-flowing, uninhibited creativity in the learners, to make them comfortable and enjoy their work. Moreover, the students are encouraged to discuss and engage in conversations with the teacher about everything from their preferred artistic styles to their varying interests. Kinnari Kala Kutira is an established, proven hub for budding artists, focussing on providing a convivial, informal atmosphere for the creation of art.
